Plastic Spiders and Stemming plugs
Plastic spiders are made from tough polypropylene and designed for:
- Prevent cartridged or pumpable explosives from falling out steep holes during and after charging.
- Allows for reliable detonation along the explosive column and does not interfere with detonation cord.
- Made of tough polypropylene with a range of sizes to match the size of blast hole.
Anfo Loaders
- Simple in construction and application, allows for a measured amount of Anfo to be blown into each hole through a metering pipe.
- Bowl size required is determined by ‘head room available’ and quantity of Anfo required to charge up a working face.
Shotfiring Equipment
- Various sizes capable of detonating between 5 and 130 STATSAFE or 240 standard detonators.
- Operated by key, hand cranked dynamo or magnetic switch.
- Continuity tester utilised in electric blasting circuits.
Malocca Cane Roads & Charging Heads
- Made from flexible but durable Molacca cane, in standard lengths of 2m.
- Used to charge cartridged explosives or to push up plastic spiders in steeply inclined blast holes.
- Both ends are fitted with brass ferules, which enables charging crews to string a number of sections together to reach inaccessible areas, and to connect the charging head.
